Design of F-Shaped Reconfigurable Bandstop Filter for Interference Resistant UWB Communication

Indoor UWB (3.1–10.6 GHz) communication may disturb the existing primary users of WiMax, WLAN/ DSRC. Thus, there is a strong need for bandstop filters to provide free passage to the primary users. Reconfigurability is an essential requirement of cognitive radio implementation. A robust F-shaped reconfigurable bandstop filter design is presented in this work and the design is validated using HFSS, CST-MWS, and ADS platforms.
