Properties of fractal intensity surfaces

Abstract In this article we present an extended two-parameter version of the fractal Brownian model and investigate its application to computer vision tasks such as texture discrimination. Furthermore, we demonstrate that fractal dimension is not equivalent to ‘roughness’.
