A compact UWB antenna with a wide band circuit model and a time domain characterization

This paper presents a compact planar UWB antenna having a balanced structure. An equivalent circuit model simulating the antenna input impedance over several octaves is proposed to illustrate the operating mode. Time domain descriptors have been used to estimate the antenna ability to transmit short electromagnetic pulse
