A remote monitoring system based on GPRS is designed to monitor the oil production in this paper. This system can help us to realize unmanned oil production. The system realizes data acquisition, transmission, storage and processing of oil wells production data. The system is mainly composed of the field monitoring terminal, wireless router and monitoring center etc. Through the GPRS wireless data transmission technology, we can realize the operation state monitoring and real-time monitoring of oil production and improve the efficiency of oil well monitoring. This system has the reliable information transmission, low cost, more automation and maintenance simple. The system can greatly improve the production management level.
