Parallel volume rendering for curvilinear volumes

Presents results of investigations into techniques for volume rendering using parallel processing on a multiple-instruction, multiple-data (MIMD) architecture that has a non-uniform access, shared memory. In particular, two parallel algorithms are given for volume rendering of curvilinear volumes. These two algorithms have been implemented on a BBN TC2000, and their performance has been measured and analyzed.<<ETX>>
