Design of an English Self-study System Based on TTS and SR

Transformation from text to speech and speech recognition are two key technologies to design an English self-study system.The paper firstly introduces the working theory and software structure of the English self-study system.And then it puts forward how to input the Microsoft Speech API in the Net environment.With the help of this program design API,the system implements several functions such as the listening training function and the reading training function.Moreover,the system gains better interaction between human and computer by using several multimedia means of voice and animation.
