Spectral analysis of switched-capacitor filters designed using the bilinear z-transform

Analytic formulas are derived for the frequency response of switched-capacitor filters containing periodically reversed capacitors. The contribution of signal leakthrough is analyzed, and its elimination using Impulse sampling or a sample-and-hold circuit discussed. The effect of a time displacement between switching and sampling Is also derived. Computed and measured responses of a fifth-degree filter are given.
