Ariel 6 measurements of the fluxes of ultraheavy cosmic rays

Results are presented for the abundances of ultraheavy cosmic rays with charge 2 = 34 or more from an analysis of the complete data set obtained in the Ariel 6 satellite mission. The high charge region Z = 60-82 is found to be overabundant compared to propagated solar system material by a factor of 1.84 + or 0.14, and three actinide events are seen. It seems likely that the cosmic rays have experienced a different mix of r- and s-process exposures from those that have given rise to the solar system material. 17 references.
