Study on Image Integrity Protection Technologies Based on Digital Watermarking

With the rapid development of network technologies,images and other multimedia information are used in an unprecedented width and depth.These images and multimedia information could be easily modified by various processing softwares,such as PhotoShop,and this would bring great challenges to the integrity protection of multi-media information transmitted through the network.In this paper,a variety of digital watermarking technologies for the image integrity protection are discussed,with focus on the typical algorithms of lossless digital watermarking technology and lossy digital watermarking technology,and the comparisons of their advantages and disadvantages are made.Finally,conclusions and future research directions of the watermarking technologies for the image integrity protection are also provided.
