Recently, researches about radio communication based train control system has received considerable attention to optimize operating efficiency and minimize care and maintenance of railway facilities. Radio-based train control system uses the wireless communication system to send and receive information between devices in the train control system. This wireless system needs to ensure the reliability to communicate stably and continuously between the onboard equipment and the wayside equipment in the system. This paper presents the handover between the onboard equipment and the wayside equipment in Daebul test line for Korea radio-based train control system. Field tests showed that stable communication was made without a break when transmission and reception of data of the onboard equipment in progress was redirected from their current wayside equipment to a new wayside equipment.
