What Risks Does Lean Six Sigma Introduce?

This research attempts to identify and analyze the different risks associated with deploying and sustaining Lean Six Sigma. Lean Six Sigma is a set of tools utilized by organizations to reduce cost and waste. The risks associated with deploying and sustaining Six Sigma vary at each stage of the process and must be identified and mitigated to ensure success. From an organizational standpoint, companies need to understand the differences between Lean Six Sigma deployment and sustainment to perform the necessary risk analysis. The risk factors discussed in this paper include leadership, human resource, data quality, and project selection. This study presents recommendations based on an analysis of collected information.
