Realization of a linear array with shaped beam in the presence of mutual coupling

A direct and more convenient method is introduced for the compensation of mutual coupling effect in a beam-forming array consisted of 16 parallel printed dipoles. The element antenna can be resized in the array environment to reduce the aberrance of the element¿s input VSWR and provide a good matching with the power divider. By using of the full-wave EM field simulator-HFSS, some simulation of the linear array was obtained taking into account of the radiation of elements and the mutual coupling in array. These results are in a good agreement with the pre-numerical results in compare with the one not being compensated.
