De-synchronization performance of the supermarket refrigeration system

The supermarket refrigeration system typically has a distributed control structure. Practice shows that the distributed hysteresis controllers located in the display cases tend to synchronize, which leads to a high wear on the compressor rack. In the paper, two desynchronizing control schemes are evaluated on a simulation model built in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Simulation results indicate the potential improvement in efficiency and reduction in wear comparing with the tradition control schemes.
