The Development of Gravel Deterioration Models for Adoption in a New Zealand Gravel Road Management System

Gravel roads were monitored in New Zealand to collect rainfall, maintenance and evaporation data, during the year 2002. This report discusses the outcomes of the gravel road monitoring program. The roads were monitored on a six-monthly basis. Practical guidelines were provided for gravel road construction and maintenance. Models were devised based on the results of the research.
