A Simulation Model for Growth and Development of Chinese Cabbage

The dry matter partitioning functions and dying function for every organ of Chinese cabbage, and evaporation function, etc., were developed using the real data such as dry weight and dying weight of leaf, stem, root, leaf area, soil moisture, etc. Meanwhile, the photosynthesis function and respiration function were developed according with real data on photosynthesis and respiration of cabbage. Linking with all of these functions, the differential equation to simulating the growth and development of Chinese cabbage was developed, which takes temperature, sunlight shining time each day, sunlight intensity, and precipitation as the inputs, and can output the dry matter weight of leaf, stem, root, the dry matter weight that can be used, and soil moisture. When linking with other models, it will also output leaf area, leaf number, etc. The linking method for the model and epidemic system of SLNPV(Spodoptera) Litura F. Nuclear Polyhedrosls Virus) was also given.
