Analysis of withstand-lightning capability of OPGW in ultra high voltage grid

At present UHV is being developed in our country.Because of the change of power line parameters,it will bring forward much higher requirement to withstand-lightning performance of OPGW,this requirement should be emphasized to consider in project.The article introduces the basic concept of ultra high voltage grid,analyzes the main difference of environment in the ultra high voltage and the extra high voltage.After some calculation,the conclusion is that the withstand-lightning capability of the OPGW ought to be improved because the probability of lightning strike increased in the environment of the ultra high voltage grid.
