Supporting System for the Form Improvement on Rope Skipping Skill by Image Processing

The purpose of this study is the design and development of the supporting environment that attempts to improve skipping-rope form of unlearned performers. We focus on monitoring four body parts based on image processing technology. We also propose values of threshold in image processing for each part but they are subject to change as the study progresses. This study also integrates feedback information on two types of video and some text. There is a video frame in the UI putting a marker on the focused part. The color of a marker indicates whether the current form is accurate or not. Another video extracts only the portion for which the learner itself is exercising within a threshold value. This study verifies the validity of these feedbacks with developing a prototype.
