Impact of False Data Injection Attack on clustering protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless networks have undergone exponential development over the course of past few years. Nowadays, there's a wide range of networks covering well-known cellular networks to non-infrastructure wireless networks such as Adhoc networks and sensor networks. Due to the restrictive character of the resources available on sensor nodes, the network is prone to several attacks. This paper presents the security issues of sensor networks which mainly emphasize on false data detection attack. The impact of false data injection attack has been analyzed over various energy efficient clustering protocols and performance has been analyzed in terms of throughput and end-to-end delay.
