Two heat sources and thermal properties of the high-speed spindle are analyzed,and the heat of bearing and motor as well.Meanwhile heat value for the bearing and motor and the radiating factors of parts of the spindle are calculated.Taking spindle of HMC80 as an example,steady-state thermal analytical model for the spindle is established through applying ANSYS finite element software,and FEM analysis is carried out based on cooling coefficient of thermal boundary conditions,and taking heating value of bearing and motor as thermal load.Thus,the temperature field distribution of the spindle under thermal steady-state is obtained,which results show that that the temperature raise around the spindle bearing is consistent with the standards for temperature raise,and the design for the spindle is reasonable.Finally main measures to improve the thermal characteristic of the high speed spindle are put forward.
