Touch sensing apparatus and driving method thereof

PURPOSE: A touch sensing device and a driving method are provided to assign a touch sensing period to a low logic period of a timing signal having one horizontal cycle and to sense the voltage of touch sensors during the touch sensing period, thereby increasing a touch report rate of a touch screen more than a display frame rate. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen driving circuit applies Tx driving signals to Tx lines during an assigned touch sensing period in a low logic period of a timing signal having one horizontal cycle and senses the voltage of touch sensors through Rx lines. Data of an inputted image is transmitted to a pixel array of a display panel during an assigned transmission period in a high logic period of a timing signal having one horizontal cycle. The touch screen driving circuit transmits touch report data including the coordinate information of a touch input position to a host system with a touch report rate which is higher than a display frame rate of the pixel array.
