Dynamic fluctuations in a gain-clamped EDFA chain in packet switched wdm optical transmissions

Traffic load conditions can excite relaxation oscillations in a chain of gain-clamped erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) in packet switched WDM optical networks.
