VISCOUS-INVISCID INTERACTION ANALYSIS OF TRANSONIC TURBULENT SEPARATED FLOW

A viscous-inviscid interaction technique is presented in which a finite-differenc e inverse boundary layer procedure is iteratively combined with a relaxation s olution of the full mtential equation far the a nalysis of turbulent separated flow. This p rocedure is applied to the t ransonic shock induced separated flow experimentally measured by Bachalo and Johnson. Converged results have been obtained and favorable cornoarison with ro coordinate surface r adius t distance from coordinate to body surface measured perpendicular to coordinate surface experimental data shows that this method is capable of resolving the d etailed f eatures of this Strongly interacting flow.
