In order to obtain better communication quality,this paper represents the optimal strategy for 10 kV powerline carrier communication protocol.The strategy is based on statistical methods to compare the current communication quality and expected threshold at certain frequency.Whether to change the communication frequency is decided according to the comparison results.When continuous frequency-hopping through all frequency points happened,the expected threshold will be reduced.The maximum expected threshold can be determined according to the specific field applications.The minimum expected threshold is set to 0.1.When the current expected threshold is less than the maximum expected threshold and the communication in the frequency lasts a certain period time,the expected threshold will be increased,so that the system can hop to the frequency point of higher communication quality.To verify the effectiveness of this strategy,firstly field experiments was simulated in the laboratory,by using signal generator to simulate white noise and add to the communication line.By analyzing the simulation results,it is shown that the communication strategy has been optimized to achieve the purpose of automatic frequency-hopping.The strategy has been used for a demonstration powerline network in Shanxi province,and the maximum expected threshold is set to 0.5 according to the analysis results.
