Glucose sensors in a control circuit: a modeling study.

To draw conclusions for an optimal application and design of glucose sensors, a modeling study of glucoregulation including an intracorporal sensor in diabetics was performed. Several significant disturbances entering the artificial control loop were identified. Their influence on the control behaviour and interactions of sensor response time and noise were studied.
