Multiplier based robust H/sub /spl infin// design with time-varying uncertainties

A new multiplier based approach is presented to design robust feedback controllers for real parametric time-varying uncertainty. The design is organized in the k/sub m/-design paradigm and consists of the following key steps. The search for the stability multiplier from a suitable parametrization is reduced to a convex minimization procedure. Stable dynamic scalings derived from this multiplier are employed to formulate a standard H/sub /spl infin// optimization problem.
