A novel sliding mode fuzzy logic control technique for induction motor drive systems

The paper presents a novel control method for direct torque vector control of induction machines. The control principle is based on sliding mode control combined with fuzzy logic. The proposed robust and intelligent controller improves low speed drive performance and reduces torque and flux ripples created by conventional controllers.
