Miniaturization optical techniques of fiber optical gyro

The fundamental principle of fiber optic gyro is introduced.The significance of FOG miniaturization is described.Several methods and possibilities of FOG miniaturization are presented based on miniaturization of optical elements,integrated optic technology and sharing of the optical elements in three-axis FOG.Issues of sharing detectors in three-axis FOG are pointed out.Results of the researches will accelerate the application and utility of FOG.
