Element radiation characteristics for optimal antenna diversity

This paper presents several methods for determining the radiation characteristics of diversity antennas which achieve high diversity gain but which allow the different antennas to lie in different sub-apertures. Computational results show that the radiation characteristics computed with these methods offer good performance. These methods can be used within the larger framework of an antenna synthesis technique which strives to achieve the radiation characteristics specified using practical designs.
