Investigation on development of condition-based maintenance in power utilities

In order to study the status of condition-based maintenance(CBM) and accumulate related experiences,investigation on power utilities had been carried on.Based on the statistic result,this paper analyzed the current situation and existed problems about the maintenance strategy and period as well as the operating status of assembled online monitoring devices.It was shown that the utilities had deeper comprehension about CBM than before.In fact,as there were no nationwide CBM rules yet,some utilities had formed their local guide according to their good experiences.The accurate and effective online detecting methods and apparatuses will be helpful to indicate the real condition of power equipments,nowadays at least as a complement for offline preventive tests;however,quality control and inspection of online monitoring apparatuses should be strengthened urgently.
