Pediatric hearing aid fittings and DSL v5.0

An ideal hearing aid fitting process is a patient-centered process with objective and subjective verification as the natural endpoint to the process. This process should incorporate a fitting rationale to determine integral hearing aid characteristics such as appropriate frequency, gain, and output, founded on solid and repeatable evidence. This article describes some of the attributes of DSL v5.0 and demonstrates how it can be used to facilitate an appropriate hearing aid fitting.
