WPCC: A novel web proxy cache cluster

In order to enhance the web proxy cache cluster's performance, a new novel web proxy cache cluster-WPCC is presented. WPCC divides all back ends into two groups: group A and group B. Group A takes charge for hit requests and group B takes charge for miss requests. WPCC uses different load balancing strategy in different back end group. Back end can be migrated from one back end group to another when load imbalance between back end groups happens. Simulations results show WPCC can achieve outstanding performance than existing web proxy cache clusters.
