Fault Estimation Scheme for Linear Interconnected Systems with Generalized Perturbations

In this study, an unknown input observer-based fault estimation strategy is proposed for a class of linear interconnected systems with the generalized perturbation including external disturbance and/or system uncertainty. The mathematical model of the considered linear interconnected systems with actuator and sensor faults are firstly given. By designing an augmented unknown input observer for the faulty systems, the desired fault estimations could be readily obtained. Meanwhile, based on Lyapunov stability theory, the stability of the derived estimated error systems of observer is analyzed. Finally, simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed fault estimation scheme.
