Conventions for cooperation - lessons learned from videoconferencing

During the informal consultations on the development of a draft strategy for resource mobilization in support of the achievement of the Convention’s objectives, Governments suggested that the Executive Secretary develop suggested activities/initiatives/timeframes for implementing the draft goals and objectives. These informal consultations were organized—in Montreal, on 13 October 2007; in Geneva, on 20 January 2008; and in Rome, on 16 February 2008. In response, the Executive Secretary has compiled the following activities and initiatives from national biodiversity strategies and action plans and related sources.
