High-rate performance improvements of rechargeable alkaline (RAM ) batteries

The RAM Technology offers an environmentally responsible, low cost rechargeable battery system that can be utilized for practically all applications where Single-Use cells (alkaline manganese, zinc-carbon) are currently being used. In addition, it can replace Nickel-Cadmium and Nickel-Metal Hydride cells in a variety of applications with much improved charge retention even at higher operating temperatures and in intermittent use. This paper discusses high rate performance of RAM cells with emphasis on cellular phone and camcorder applications.
