The invention discloses a method and equipment for processing local IP access (LIPA) connection. The method comprises the following steps that: a network side acquires information of the LIPA connection of user equipment; and the network side processes the LIPA connection according to preference information corresponding to the user equipment. In the embodiment of the invention, a user can set to allow the LIPA connection or forbid the LIPA connection; and the network side can process the procedures of establishing the LIPA connection or switching the LIPA connection according to the setting condition of the user, thereby improving a use experience of the user.
