Security, Privacy, and the Built Environment

The built environment is entering a period of great evolution, enabled by the adoption of building information modeling (BIM), the increased use of technologies in digital asset management, and the emergence of smart assets and the Internet of Things (IoT). It considers the impact of using new, predominantly wireless technologies in the built environment and discusses the need for security and privacy improvements.
