An Experimental Study on Thermal Conductivity of Concrete

In order to study thermal conductivity of concrete produced by modern construction technology,influencing factors on thermal conductivity of normal strength concrete,high performance concrete,recycled concrete as well as reinforced concrete were quantitatively investigated by the stable plate thermal conductivity meter.Seven testing variables,including the aggregate volume content, water-cement ratio(m_w/m_c),types of aggregate,admixture content,temperature,moisture of specimen and reinforcement volume content were considered in this test.With regard to recycled concrete,recycled aggregate replacement percentage was also considered.These main influence factors on the thermal conductivity of concrete were investigated by the outstanding analysis.The results show that the significance of these factors is as follows from greatest to least: moisture,recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio,temperature,volume fractions of aggregates,types of aggregate,volume ratios of reinforcement, m_w/m_c and types of admixtures.
