A PFM/PWM Dual-Mode DC-DC Regulator with Digital PID Compensation

A PFM and PWM dual-mode DC-DC regulator is proposed in this paper. PWM uses digital PID compensation and PFM uses voltage and current feedback structure. And several low power circuits are designed to improve the efficiency at light load situation. The efficiency can reach 80%～92% at 1mA～2A load range.
