On the construction of quantum constacyclic codes

Let q be a prime power and $$m\ge 2$$m≥2 an integer. In this paper, based on classical $$q^{2}$$q2-ary constacyclic codes, we apply the Hermitian construction to obtain several classes of q-ary quantum stabilizer codes of length $$(q^{2m}-1)/(q+1)$$(q2m-1)/(q+1). These quantum codes have parameters better than those obtained from classical BCH codes.
