The invention discloses a relay node distribution method of a content-centered wireless mesh network. The method includes obtaining parameters of the wireless mesh network; expressing the wireless mesh network as a directed graph, the directed graph is composed of nodes and links, wherein the nodes comprises gateway nodes, relay nodes, wireless mesh router nodes and wireless storage nodes, and setting every position where a relay node can be arranged as a virtual relay node, and two links in opposite directions are arranged between two intercommunicated nodes; establishing an optimized distribution mathematical model of the relay nods according to the directed graph; and performing solving through a solving method of integer linear programming to obtain the optimized distribution of the relay nodes. The relay node distribution method of the content-centered wireless mesh network achieves the optimized distribution of the relay nodes; reduces the wireless communication links in wireless mesh sub-networks, which are used by the transmission paths of P2P (peer-to-peer) intercommunication of wireless terminals and intercommunication on the Internet of wireless mesh routers and improves the network throughput of the wireless mesh network.
