3K Compound Planetary Reduction Gearbox With Non-backlash Mechanism

It is a challenge to improve accuracy while maintaining high efficiency in a 3K compound planetary reduction gearbox with a high reduction ratio. In this paper, we focus on the traction drive with the same transmission structure and propose a hybrid of traction drive and a 3K compound planetary reduction gearbox. As a result, besides conventional high torque transmission and high efficiency, minute torque transmission is also possible. In this paper, the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism was confirmed by experimenting forward drive efficiency and backlash.
