Handwriting Recognition with Fuzzy Linguistic Rules

With fuzzy linguistic rules complex handwriting patterns can be represented in a broad linguistic domain, thus facilitating a flexible and widely valid recognition scheme. Based on the multi-layered human visual recognition system a multilevel fuzzy rule based classification system is proposed and explained. The constraints which influence the structure of this system applied to handwritten symbols are briefly discussed.
