Lifestyle Management for Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

This text is designed to provide health care professionals with techniques for helping patients change their unhealthy behaviours and improve their quality of life following a coronary heart disease (CHD) event. Separate chapters focus on specific risk factors including exercise, smoking, diet, stress, and medications. Each of these chapters provide methods for helping patients adopt and maintain lifestyle changes in these areas, including questionnaires and logs. The principal focus of this monograph is on patients with established CHD, but many of the principles can also be applied to patients at high risk for developing cardiovascular disease.
