Selected Aspects of the Aircraft Selection and Evaluation Process for an Airline

In this paper, the problem of optimizing the process of aircraft selection and evaluation was addressed with emphasis on the procedure of optimal aircraft selection for the needs of an airline using the developed algorithms. At the beginning of the paper, an analysis of selected models for optimizing the selection of aircraft equipment for an airline is carried out. Further, the basic criteria that are most used in the decision-making process concerning aircraft selection have been identified. Based on this, the different types of aircraft that are mostly used by airlines for short, medium to medium-long haul routes have been identified. Furthermore, algorithms for airline aircraft selection were developed. A simulation of the coverage of the market requirements for passenger transportation at the five hub airports used by the generated airline was created.
