태권도 경기장의 구조 설계

Taekwondo Stadium is designed for 2 basements and 4 floors above the ground. The stadium’s roof structure is a large open space with 92m in diameter. Use of “Three Taegeuk” as a base design to form three dimensional shape was a distinctive feature of the roof structure and to solve the design challenge of atypical shape, space truss concept was incorporated into structural design. In this journal, detail structural design process is discussed regarding applied designed load, and geographical and characteristic of shape against the wind load. Relation to wind load, we will discuss how Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation and Wind Tunnel Test were applied in detail structural design. Moreover, this paper will describe the material and geometric non-linear analysis performed to review the stability and safety of structure.
