Solving Conflicts of Agent Knowledge States in Multiagent Systems

The most characteristic feature of many multiagent systems is that in order to achieve a common goal each of the autonomous agents depends on cooperation and communication with other agents. Due to the autonomy of agents, however, there may appear different kinds of conflicts among members of agents' population. One of them refers to conflicts of states of agents' knowledge on their common world. In this paper a tool for representing conflicts of agents' knowledge and some methods for solving them by means of consensus theory are presented.
