LDV-Measurements on a High-Lift Configuration with Separation Control

The flow field around a 2D-high-lift configuration with active separation control has been investigated by using LDV. The test model, a two element high-lift configuration, was equipped with an excitation mechanism inside the trailing edge flap to generate periodical flow excitation near the flap leading edge. A reattachment of the flow was achieved at various excitation frequencies and amplitudes.
