Intelligent Gateway for Heterogeneous Networks Environment in Remote Monitoring of Greenhouse Facility Information Collection

Abstract Aiming at the lack of agriculture informatization standard in Chinese agricultural wireless monitoring, variability of monitoring terminal, and weak compatibility of monitoring system data structure, this paper proposes an intelligent gateway for heterogeneous networks in remote monitoring for agricultural use. First of all, uniform data communication protocol, sensor protocol, and terminal information protocol are set up. Secondly, intelligent gateway between monitoring terminal and server database is developed based on XML and VB6.0. Thirdly, the data of different terminals is processed and stored by using uniform data communication protocol. Moreover, on basis of PHP, MySQL database, server, and webpage technology, agricultural machinery remote monitoring platform is developed to conduct real time monitoring and path track. It also realizes curve display and export of remote data. At last, field test was conducted in Yanqing County, the results of filed test show that the intelligent gateway can receive and analyze monitoring terminal timely and have good applicability.
