Renal Arterial Embolization

more prompt recognition of renal embolization. Successful embolectomy has been reported with increasing frequencyl9. Prompt anticoagulation and appropriate cardiac surgery can reduce the incidence of further embolic episodes1°. The purpose of this report is to indicate the classical diagnostic features of renal embolism and to emphasize the importance of angiography in confirming the diagnosis, defining the vascular anatomy and directing therapy.
