Study on the Bottom Tuyere Configuration of a 150 t Vanadium Extraction Converter Using Cold Model

The experiment have been carried out in a 1/6 scale water model of 150t vanadium extraction converter, in order to optimize the bottom tuyere configuration. The mixing time of seven different bottom tuyere cases was obtained via measuring the conductivity. The results show that the case 3 with the lowest mixing time, is the best bottom tuyere configuration. Under the conditions of this experiment, the gun under the condition of gas flow rate for 225mm top lance level, top-blown air flow for 81-83.3 m~3/h, bottom blowing air flow for 1.8 m~3/h, the shortest mixing time can be obtained.
